Chic Romance Wedding in Dubuque
After spending a few days in Chicago, we arrived in Dubuque, Iowa, on Thursday. The small-town vibe immediately captured our hearts. And it was easy to get inspired for the wedding documentation.
We met Ally and Lane on Friday to get acquainted with the wedding location. With rain forecasted for most of the day, we discussed backup plans for the ceremony, the photo shoot, and the reception.
Nach ein paar Tagen in Chicago sind wir am Donnerstag in Dubuque, Iowa, angekommen. Wir haben uns sofort in den Vibe der Kleinstadt verliebt und konnten uns so von Beginn an für die Doku inspirieren lassen.
Am Freitag trafen wir Ally & Lane, um die die beiden, ihre Familen und die wundervolle kleine Hochzeitslocation kennenzulernen. Da für den Großteil des Tages Regen angekündigt war, haben wir über die indoor alternativen für die Zeremonie, das Shooting und das Dinner gesprochen.
THE BEAUTY OF DUBUQUE
On the wedding day, the couple got ready in their beautiful new home. After that we drove to the wonderful wedding location, a House with Name „The Beautfy of the Bluff“. After some getting ready shots with lane, we captured a touching back-to-back moment on the balcony. Due to the rain, the ceremony was moved indoors from the planned meadow, but the intimate setting inside the location added to the elegant charm.
Am Hochzeitstag hat sich Ally in ihrem wunderschönen neuen Zuhause fertig gemacht. Danach fuhren wir zu der Hochzeitslocation, einem Haus mit dem Namen „The Beauty of the Bluff“. Nach einigen Getting-Ready-Aufnahmen mit Lane hatten die beiden einen ganz intimen und berührenden „Back-to-Back“-Moment auf dem Balkon. Aufgrund des Regens fand die Trauung nicht wie geplant auf der Wiese statt, sondern wurde nach drinnen verlegt. Das intime und super elegante Setting im der Location verlieh dem Ganzen einen unvergessliche und hochwertigen Charme.
TURNING A LIVING ROOM INTO A WEDDING DINNER SETTING
After the ceremony, while we took photos at various picturesque spots of Dubuque, the venue was transformed from the wedding setup to a dinner setting. The reception featured emotional speeches and touching interactions between the two families, highlighting the deep connections.
We then headed to the historic Hotel Julien for another photo session, capturing the couple in the elegant surroundings. As the evening progressed, the celebration moved to the Bar Esther Lounge.
Während wir für das Shooting zu verschiedenen Spots von Dubuque gefahren sind, wurde der Location vom Trauungsetting zum Dinnersetting umgebaut. Zum Abend gab es einige emotionale Reden und schöne Momenten zwischen den beiden Familien, Ally & Lane und ihren Freund*innen.
Anschließend machten wir uns auf den Weg zum historischen Hotel Julien für eine weitere Fotosession. das elegante und historische Foyer hat perfekt zum Vine des Tages gepasst und wir sind sehr happy, dass wir hier noch ein paar Fotos machen konnten. Danach ging es zur Party in die Bar Esther Lounge.
LET’S GO OUT IN THE RAIN
In a spontaneous moment, Ally approached us and said, "Hey, let's go out in the rain." Embracing the adventurous spirit, we captured some stunning shots of the couple dancing and laughing in the downpour.
The night evolved from a relaxed gathering into an energetic party, with Ally and Lane leading the way. It was an unforgettable evening, filled with laughter, love, Ice Cream, lots of shots, dancing of the bar and memorable moments that perfectly reflected the couple's vibrant personalities.
Ganz spontan kam Ally irgendwann auf uns zu und sagte: „Hey, let's go out in the rain.“ Das war mega und die Bilder sind unbeschreiblich schön. Sich über das Wetter aufzuregen ist leicht und auch verständlich. Aber die Chance zu nutzen und diese einmaligen Momente zu haben ist wirklich etwas ganz besonderes
Die Nacht entwickelte sich von einem entspannten Beisammensein zu einer energiegeladenen Party, Ally & Lane natürlich die ganze Zeit dabei. Es war ein unvergesslicher Abend, voller Lachen, Liebe, Eiscreme, vielen Shots, Tanzen auf der Bar und unvergesslichen Momenten.
