Romantic Italy Wedding in Piemont
When we were asked to shoot Katharina & Matthias' wedding in 2020 via Franzi from Wedding Perfection, we were super excited. We immediately arranged a video call, which was to significantly increase our excitement. The two of them are super likeable, we hit it off straight away, had a lot in common and the call had a really good vibe! We could hardly believe our joy when we received the confirmation and we knew that we would be accompanying them on their wedding weekend in Italy in 2021 at the fantastic Relais Sant Uffizio location, but what we didn't know was what was in store for us all in just a few weeks.
Als wir 2020 über Franzi von Wedding Perfection zur Hochzeit von Katharina & Matthias angefragt wurden, waren wir super aufgeregt. Wir haben gleich einen Video Call ausgemacht, der unsere Aufregung deutlich vergrößern sollte. Die beiden sind super sympathisch, wir haben uns auf Anhieb gut verstanden, hatten viele Gemeinsamkeiten und der Call hatte einen richtig guten Vibe! Wir konnten unsere Freude kaum fassen, als die Zusage kam und wir wussten, wir werden die beiden 2021 in Italien in der tollen Location Relais Sant Uffizio auf ihrem Hochzeitswochenende begleiten.Was wir jedoch nicht wussten ist, was in nur wenigen Wochen auf uns alle zukommen würde.
ON THE WAY TO ITALY
And so nothing came of the wedding in 2021. So we'll just look forward to having a good time with them in 2022. But 2022 also had a surprise in store for the couple. A little daughter turned the couple into a small family. So the wedding and everyone involved had to be patient for another year. We were so looking forward to seeing them and couldn't believe it when we actually set off for Italy in July 2023. Of course, we arrived a few days earlier to see the surroundings of Piedmont and gather a few impressions and inspirations for the documentary.
Und so wurde 2021 nichts aus der Hochzeit. Dann freuen wir uns eben in 2022 darauf, mit den beiden eine gute Zeit zu haben. Doch auch 2022 hielt eine Überraschung für die beiden bereit. Eine kleine Tochter machte aus dem Paar eine kleine Familie. Für die Hochzeit und alle Beteiligten hieß es darum, sich noch ein weiteres Jahr zu gedulden. Wir haben uns so sehr auf die beiden gefreut, und konnten es gar nicht glauben, als wir uns im Juli 2023 wirklich auf den Weg nach Italien gemacht haben. Natürlich sind wir ein paar Tage früher angereist um uns die Umgebung von Piemont anzuschauen und für die Doku bereits ein paar Eindrücke und Inspirationen zu sammeln.
‚PIZZA & LOVE‘ - GET TOGETHER
On Friday we started with a get-together under the motto “Pizza & Love”. We were able to get to know the guests, talk to Franzi, the wedding planner from Wedding Perfection, but above all get to know Katharina & Matthias. It was called “Pizza & Love” for a reason. Of course there was a lot of love, but above all there was an incredible pizza buffet.
Am Freitag ging es los mit einem Get Together unter dem Motto „Pizza & Love“. Wir konnten die Gäst*innen kennenlernen, uns mit Franzi, der Wedding Plannerin von Wedding Perfection absprechen, aber vor allem Katharina & Matthias kennen lernen. „Pizza & Love“ hieß es nicht ohne Grund. Natürlich gab es eine Menge Love, aber vor allem gab es ein unglaubliches Pizza Buffet.
POOL PARTY, GETTING READY & A TEARFUL WEDDING
Saturday began with a relaxed pool party for everyone. Then we went to the exciting rooms of the Relais Sant Uffizio location for Katharina & Matthias' getting ready. In the afternoon, Framille Wedding performed their super emotional wedding ceremony on an open meadow directly in the grounds of the location. Mosquito spray, sunscreen and the odd tear or two are not a good combination. But the stinging in the eyes was worth it, we really enjoyed documenting these great emotional moments. Even after the ceremony, the atmosphere remained relaxed, just as the couple had wished. There were snacks, the families and friends of the couple were able to enjoy the location and drink a bottle or two of water at 37° and for us and Katharina & Matthias there was a little shoot with the Triumph, which the couple had been given for the afternoon.
Der Samstag begann für alle entspannt mit einer Pool Party. Dann ging es für uns in die aufregenden Zimmer der Location Relais Sant Uffizio zum Getting Ready von Katharina & Matthias. Auf einer freien Wiese direkt im Gelände der Location fand am Nachmittag die super emotionale Trauung der beiden durch Framille Wedding statt. Mückenspray, Sonnencreme und das ein oder andere Tränchen sind keine gute Kombination. Aber das brennen in den Augen war es wert, wir haben es sehr genossen diese tollen emotionalen Momente zu dokumentieren. Auch nach der Trauung blieb es entspannt, genauso wie es sich die beiden gewünscht haben. Es gab Snacks, die Familien und Freund*innen der beiden konnten die Location genießen und bei 37° die ein oder andere Flasche Wasser trinken und für uns und Katharina & Matthias gab es schon mal ein kleines Shooting mit dem Triumph, den die beiden für den Nachmittag geschenkt bekommen haben.
FAIRY LIGHTS IN PIEDMONT
It was getting darker and the setting by Fior Deco and Sofi Design all the more beautiful. Under the overgrown pergola decorated with fairy lights, everyone had a super nice and romantic evening with live music by Brian. After a great buffet, we went to the wedding shoot and were able to take a few pictures with the couple's friends.
Es wurde dunkler und das Setting von Fior Deco und Sofi Design um so schöner. Unter der bewachsenen und mit Lichterketten geschmückten Pergola hatten alle einen super schönen und romantischen Abend mit live Musik von Brian. Nach einem tollen Buffet, ging es zum Wedding Shooting und wir konnten ein paar Bilder mit den Freund*innen der beiden machen.
‚VIVA GLI SPOSI’ - THAT’S AMORE
After the cake cutting and first dance, we went into the small club for the party. You could really feel that the entire party had been looking forward to finally spending this evening together with Katharina & Matthias, celebrating, dancing and enjoying this wonderful atmosphere in Italy.
Nach Tortenanschnitt und First Dance ging es in den kleinen Club für die Party. Man hat richtig gespürt, dass sich die gesamte Gesellschaft 3 Jahre darauf gefreut hat endlich diesen Abend zusammen mit Katharina & Matthias zu verbringen, zu feiern, zu tanzen und diese wunderbare Stimmung in Italien zu genießen.
